Why do people own guns? The main reason is they want the

The chart below shows that when gun sales reached
record growth in 2006 and continued to grow, violent crime rates began to fall in 2007 and are still falling.
This doesn't mean there isn't anymore crime, but shows
that owning and carrying a gun has proven to lower the crime rates.
